Use nlite to integrate sp3, then go to the location where you put the three files.
Locate medctroc.in_, mediactr.ca_, medctr.dl_ ( u may also copy the txtsetup.sif for a fresh reference ) into the i386 folder, copy them to another location, u may also think about plus & sonic but feel free, they will not be modified by SP3. Hey Gyes, r u interested in XP SP3 + MCE 2005 till today? THEN Heres the solutionĪt first I want to say that Slipstreaming SP3 into XP MCE 2005 is ALMOST supported, but we have to hack somethings.įirst combine your MCE Disk 1 & 2 into a folder. There should be a proper MS solution for a fully complete MCE 2005 slipstream, end of story. BTW, why do you take it so personal? It's MS that screwed the pooch here. Now grow up and refrain from going off on someone who has every right to have an opinion of a hacked and incomplete solution. Fine, it's viable for someone else that doesn't care about the issues. Mother approved? LOL, wtf is that supposed to mean? Now don't go kick your dog because you wanted to give a bunch of attitude to me. A viable solution is for Microsoft to deal with this in a proper manner.
You opinion is more important than mine? Hardly. Was that you I had to not approve for my MSN Messenger right after your post? Did I hurt your feelings because I didn't? Maybe you shouldn't drink and post? I don't know what your issue is but I have every bit as much right to say that your hack solution isn't viable as you do for thinking it does. It doesn't do a PROPER complete slipstream as it should being a Microsoft product that should have been properly supported. That's my opinion and I have every right to it. You make assumptions about what I want. Amanda, I guess that's one of the dancers? I wouldn't know. IT'S NOT VIABLE since it's not a PROPER slipstream. When you first posted this last night you didn't have such an attitude in this post. It takes 10 extra minutes with no user interaction and it's mother approved. I've had no problems with my slipstreamed version becouse I can't stand Amanda (Windows Dancer) and dont miss her. For you becouse you like Amanda, try automating your install and use "run once" to apply SP3 automatically during XP setup. Woofa: Who are you to tell people whats viable? It might not be a good solution for you but could be for someone else.
